Affiliations

Chronicling four decades in business, we have had the opportunity to be members, board members, and founding members of many associations. Dialogue, cooperation, and joint progress are the guiding attributes for our participation.

ABC

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. is the voice of the merit shop in the construction industry. They accept the responsibility for making that voice heard. They believe the merit shop movement is a movement for the betterment of the individual, the construction industry, and the nation.

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky Chapter ranks in the top 5 for membership size. The chapter consists of 6 councils that cover both Indiana and Kentucky. DC Elevator has been a member since 2001.

The WV Chapter promotes free enterprise and open competition within the construction industry and protects opportunities for employees, employers, and investors based solely on merit. #ABCMeritShopProud

AEMA

The AEMA is a non-profit organization formed in 1990 to meet the needs of the accessibility equipment manufacturers, distributors and end users. In 2005 the association modified its vision and its bylaws to create an association of persons and entities with interest in the “Private Residence Elevator and Accessibility Equipment” industry.

AGC

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is the leading association for the construction industry. AGC represents more than 26,000 firms, including over 6,500 of America’s leading general contractors, and over 9,000 specialty-contracting firms. More than 10,500 service providers and suppliers are also associated with AGC, all through a nationwide network of chapters.

BBB

The Better Business Bureau (BBB), founded in 1912, is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing marketplace trust, consisting of 112 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in the United States and Canada, coordinated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) in Arlington, Virginia. DC Elevator has been a BBB Accredited Business since 02/01/2003 and holds an A+ Rating.

HBAK

Founded over 30 years ago, the Home Builders Association of Kentucky represents builders, developers, and providers of products and services.

HBAWV

Founded in 1959, the Home Builders Association of West Virginia (HBAWV) represents builders, developers, and providers of products and services. DC Elevator has been a member of the Charleston chapter since 2005 and is also a member of the National Home Builders Association (NHBA).

NAEC

The National Association of Elevator Contractors is an association of elevator businesses serving the interests of independent elevator contractors and suppliers of products and services primarily and promoting safe and reliable elevator, escalator and short-range transportation and promoting excellence in the management of member companies. DC Elevator has been a member since August of 1993. President Steve Bowlds was a member of the Board of Directors from Fall 2012 to Fall 2014.

NAEC CET

The purpose of the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) Certified Elevator Technician (CET) Certification is to provide the elevator industry with a means of obtaining and verifying knowledge and experience requirements related to compliance with industry codes, elevator and escalator specific technical theory, components, and competencies.

The DC Elevator technicians that carry the NAEC CET ID card have passed the NAEC CET™ Certification Examination and are approved by the Certification Board. Before the certification, they have completed the NAEC CET™ Training Program and met the experience qualification.

NAEC CAT

ICHTHUS

An ancient one in Christianity, the fish symbol represents both Jesus and his followers. Jesus had told Peter, “I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). Since the first churches, the ICHTHUS symbol has helped Christians identify one another as believers. DC Elevator recognizes that religious freedom promotes sustainable and innovative businesses, contributes to human flourishing, and results in peaceful and stable societies.
