Last week, a group of over thirty industry professionals from architecture, construction, engineering, and building management followed our invitation to Fairmont’s Muriale’s Italian Kitchen, to learn about ADA-compliant accessibility solutions for performance areas and the courtroom.
Don Birdsall (Lift-U) and Ron Rucker (DC Elevator), both very knowledgeable in accessibility solutions, talked about the challenges in the corresponding areas and discussed potential solutions to common problems. With ample time for questions, each AIA continued education session provided the participants with valuable information and new resources.
We scheduled workshop sessions around a delicious Italian lunch of meatballs in meat sauce and grilled chicken breast, followed by coffee and chocolate layer cake.
